Golf Simulator Room Acoustics

golf simulator room acoustics 3

Client: Multiple private residential clients
Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Project type: Acoustic absorption installation
Application: Golf simulator rooms

The Challenge

I've worked on a number of golf simulator projects at private residences around Johannesburg, approached by different companies all needing the same thing, proper acoustic absorption. Golf shots inside an enclosed simulator room get loud fast, and the odd mishit sends a ball ricocheting off bare walls, which isn't exactly quiet either.

Our Solution

I installed absorption panels throughout each simulator room, cushioning both the sound of impact and the physical bounce of stray shots. It's a setup that tackles two problems at once, dampening noise while also softening the room for those inevitable off-target swings.

The Result

These golf simulator rooms are now far quieter to play in, with absorption handling both the acoustic impact and the odd wayward shot. A simple fix that's proven popular, working well enough that multiple companies have come back requesting the same treatment for their clients.
