Client: Private residential client
Location: Morningside, Johannesburg
Project type: Low-visibility acoustic absorption installation
Application: Residential hallways, TV room, and kitchen
The Challenge
This Morningside homeowner wanted a bit more acoustic absorption in their stylish home, but with a clear condition, nothing too visible. The treatment needed to blend into the home's existing look rather than stand out, with specific focus on the hallways and the open TV room/kitchen area.
Our Solution
I concentrated treatment on the hallways and the TV room/kitchen space, selecting absorption that stayed discreet and complemented the home's aesthetic rather than competing with it. The goal throughout was subtlety, effective acoustic improvement without disrupting the interior design the homeowner had already worked hard to achieve.
The Result
The home now has noticeably better acoustics in the key areas that needed it, all while keeping the treatment low-key and true to the house's stylish look. A good example of how acoustic absorption can be both effective and virtually invisible.
