The Challenge
This major Johannesburg studio needed serious acoustic absorption to match the scale of their audio-visual production work. With a large production space and an existing whitescreen setup for video shoots, the challenge was fitting effective sound treatment throughout the space without disrupting the studio's core video functionality.
Our Solution
Decibel Zero installed absorption panels worked into every nook and cranny of the studio's back area, tucking treatment neatly around and behind the existing whitescreen setup. The result is a space where the acoustic treatment does its job without competing for attention, the whitescreen remains fully functional for video work, while the added absorption brings the audio side of production up to standard.
The Result
The studio now handles both video and audio production at a professional level, with absorption seamlessly integrated into a space that still looks camera-ready. It's a strong example of treating a multi-use production space without forcing a trade-off between video and audio requirements.
